Emirates Enhances First Class Ground Services, Onboard Amenities

Emirates’ First Class cabin is synonymous with a luxurious travel experience. The airline has a long history in terms of raising the bar for what is possible in commercial aviation, not least with the debut of its fully enclosed First Class Suites in 2017. Recently, the airline unveiled a series of enhancements to its First Class experience, further solidifying its reputation as a leader in luxury air travel.

The Ground Experience: Luxury From Door to Door

Emirates’ First Class experience begins well before boarding. To match its high standards in the air, the carrier has upgraded its check-in area for First Class passengers at Dubai International Airport’s (DXB) Terminal 3. The space has been designed to emulate the aesthetic of a luxury hotel lobby boasting dedicated, personalized check-in services.

New Onboard Offerings, from Cheese to Caviar

Emirates has also introduced an array of new enhancements to its onboard offering, which is served in white gloves.

Fine dining has always been a pillar of Emirates First Class, and the airline has now doubled down on indulgence. In 2022, it introduced an unlimited caviar service as part of a $2 billion investment to improve its in-flight customer experience. Adding to this already luxurious meal experience, the caviar will be served to First Class passengers in elegant new Emirates-engraved bowls designed by Robert Welch.

The airline has also made changes to its First Class cheese board, featuring artisanal cheeses and chutneys. From now on, it will be served on a rustic slate with a wooden honey dipper.

Creating a Memorable In-Flight Experience

Finally, Emirates has introduced newly designed keepsake menus with elegant illustrations and information about the wines and regional dishes being served and the inspiration behind them.

When it comes to the wine offering, the carrier said “Customers can discover the heritage of rare bottles handpicked from renowned châteaux, with full tasting profiles and suggested pairings for an elevated dining experience.”

With these new updates, it is clear that every touchpoint along the passenger journey has been designed by Emirates with care and a deep understanding of what luxury is today. The same is true in business class, wherein the carrier recently launched a new menu that pairs dishes with exclusive Champagnes onboard.
